Heaven's Door Straight Rye was developed in a church in Tennessee by Bob Dylan and Marc Bushala (founder of Angel's Envy Bourbon). They've chosen to finish their rye in toasted oak cigar barrels from the Vosges region of France (they're cigar shaped, so they didn't just have a bunch of cigars stashed in them)!
Tasting Note:
Mint, baking spices, anise, and freshly ground pepper form a creamy centre around a creamy core of banoffee pie and vanilla ice cream. With hints of citrus, leather, and molasses, a warming, woody aspect grows beneath the surface. With time, a strong smell of expensive dark chocolate wafts through.
